Vicuña is the rarest natural textile fibre in the world. Sourced from the wild vicuña of the Andean highlands, where ancient protections govern the ethical collection of its fleece, the fibre is five times finer than human hair and yields a cloth of extraordinary lightness, warmth and luminosity. To wear it is to understand immediately why it has been prized for centuries.
This stole is woven in our mill in Elgin, Scotland, from 100% pure vicuña in its undyed, natural caramel. Finished with a hand-knotted fringe, it drapes with a fluidity that speaks to both the exceptional fineness of the yarn and to the skill of our weavers.
